Activities

There are many clubs and activities available for students after school each day. Please tell your child to listen for daily announcements of club starting dates, times and locations. Other activities may be added from time-to-time.

Gardening Club - Students get hands-on experience with indoor and outdoor plans. They'll explore how plants and animals coexist and study backyard ecosystems. This club is open to all students.

Green Team The Green Team is our school’s environmentally friendly club dedicated to making a positive impact on our planet! Members work together to promote sustainability through fun, hands-on projects. Whether you’re passionate about reducing waste, reusing materials, recycling or inspiring others to go green… the Green Team is the perfect place to make a difference—right here at PW! This club is open to all students.

MathCounts - MathCounts is a competition in which small teams of students compete against other middle schools in Bucks and Montgomery Counties. Any 6th, 7th, 8th grader interested in mathematics is welcome to join.

Pennwood TV Channel 6 - Students are involved in a “live” morning news show each day which is broadcast in every homeroom.

Photo Club - Students help with the creation of Pennwood's yearbook by taking photos of student photos and athlete.

Reading Olympics - Students attend after-school meetings to prepare for a countywide competition in the spring. Teams of 8-12 students share the reading of 45 books. Reading Olympics site

Student Council - Students organize and participate in school spirit days, evening socials, fundraising, and community service projects.

Writing Club - Pennwood's Writing Club is a group of student writers with a safe space to exercise their craft. Students will explore their creativity through prose and poetry. Students will have opportunities to submit to writing contests (which may result in publication) as well as submit work to Pennwood's literary magazine entitled "The Write to Your Voice." This club is open to all students.
